Our fall business meeting and conference will be held in Manhattan at the PSC Union Hall.  Invitations were sent out to all current members via ActionNetwork on September 4. If you are a current member and did not receive the invitation, please send us an email at nyscaaup@gmail.com. The deadline to register is Tuesday, 9/29. The deadline to apply for travel funding is Friday, 9/18 (details in the invitation email).

The business meeting will be held Friday 10/2 from 2:30-5 with a Zoom option. The meeting agenda with officer, committee, and council reports will be emailed prior to the meeting to those who register.

The Saturday 10/3 organizing conference will be held in-person only from 8-2. Saturday’s program will focus on the Building Power to Win the Future of Higher Education & Democracy agenda (click on “package of proposals” link) that was passed at the AAUP Biennial meeting in June, with particular focus on the Taking Control of AI and Technology motion. If possible, those attending should bring copies or links to any AI-related policies existing or being proposed for their campuses. A more detailed agenda for Saturday’s program and updates prior to the conference as well as a link for hotel registration will be provided to those who register.
