On Thursday, February 19, President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. informed faculty at St. John’s University that the University will no longer recognize their two unions, both formed and recognized in 1970. This threat comes after a year of negotiations in which the University has resisted decent raises and reasonable healthcare proposals.
