NYSC AAUP RELEASES STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR HOCHUL’S FY2023 BUDGET
On January 18th Governor Kathy Hochul presented her FY2023 Executive Budget, which included committing $1.5 billion for SUNY and CUNY over the next five years and expanded TAP eligibility. Another $31 billion is slated to strengthen teacher workforce and invest in schools. In response, the NYS AAUP issued the following statement on January 26th, 2022 noting how much they appreciate and welcome Gouverneur Hochul’s emphasis on education and especially the need for additional funding in higher ed.
