Dr. Merouane Lakehal-Ayat, a suspended professor in the business school at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, has filed a federal discrimination lawsuit against the college. It alleges discrimination based upon a combination of age, nationality, and religion. A hearing conducted at the college over 5 days this past summer resulted in a faculty panel voting unanimously for his reinstatement. However, he remains suspended with pay. A second lawsuit for defamation against the college and two faculty members has been dismissed.
